I wouldn't recommend playing the first Battletoads with two players though. have two player modes, but all the others do. I don't believe that Mighty Final Fight, Renegade or P.O.W. Not to be confused with Target: Renegade (also a beat 'em up but a really bad one). Renegade - This game gets mixed reviews, but I like it a lot. TMNT III: The Manhattan Project - Like part 2 but better. Mighty Final Fight - Expensive but an excellent game.īattletoads and Battletoads/Double Dragon - Both partial beat 'em ups. Interestingly, video game reviews say that Neon is garbage, but I say that they (Gaming revews) are garbage. Double Dragon 2, Double Dragon 3, Super Double Dragon and Double Dragon Neon are the best for me. It has RPG elements that really add to the experience. HeimdallXtreme said: This game is pretty easy actually. River City Ransom - Best beat 'em up on the system imo. It would have been cool if the first one was two player, but it's a classic either way.ġ6-bit systems tend to be better for the genre, but there are still a few good ones on the NES. It's actually my least favorite of the trilogy 1 > 3 > 2.
